Variables, expressions, comments
Type a unique name for a calculation variable in the
"Variable" cell. Only correct mathematical expressions are allowed in
To create a new row with a variable and expression, you can:
|Click button. An empty row with a new generated unique variable will be added to the end of the calculation.|
|Click button. An empty row with a new generated unique variable will be added after the current row.|
In your expressions, you can use the following:
|Mathematical operators + - / *|
|Mathematical functions (sin, cos, ...) . Click button to call the functions list.|
|Financial functions (Payment, FV, PV (mortgage calculation)) . Click button to call the functions list.|
|Names of variables pre-defined in a calculation to refer a "Result" cell of previous lines.|
|Names of variables pre-defined in a calculation with indexes (1-5) in a brackets to refer a "Value1 ... 5" cells of previous lines.|
|VALUE1,VALUE2,VALUE3,VALUE4,VALUE5 to refer a "Value..." cells in a same line.|
If an expression has not a = sign then the result of a correct expression will be shown in "Result" cell. But you can assign a values to any "Value" cell before, after or instead of a main expression. This assignments and a main expression must be separated with ; . For example:
Create a calorie calculation, add a dish and select ECalcPad style for more samples of value assignments. But also you can fill a "Value..." cells manually.
If the entered expression has a syntax error you will receive an error message. Rows with errors will be marked red and underlined.
Maximum length of "Expression" cell is 200 characters. Set maximum size of the calculator window and "Expression" cell size will be increased. You can change size and order of any column in calculation. Drag a column and drop it before another one to change its order. Drag the right border of a column to change its size.
You can write any text into "Comments" cell of any row.
